Its fantastic, because you can buy things all over the world...and in many places its very cheap.

Dont give the excuse "you cant always know the model of a PS3"
You can easily narrow it down if you see the capacity and bumdles of the PS3. And that way you can know if the PS3 is in fact capable of downgrade or not...
And if people dont buy just to jailbreak...then i dont know why are *****ing about...

and did not tb yesterday the will release their new dongle version, eboots and now this

Its not actually as easy as lookig at the capacity of the PS3 model. Some 250GB models are downgradeable. My brothers 250GB model came with 3.55 Firmware installed my 250GB model came with 3.65. Also my PS3 didnt come bundled with any games.

I can confirm this. In Brazil a jailbroken ps3 is actually more expensive than a new one.

now i didnt buy to warez/jailbreak etc so i dont care if i can/cannot downgrade but you expect people (sometimes with no cash and resort to credit accounts as in my case) to be able to, without a doubt be able to buy a specific series ps3?
what universe do you shop in lol?
some people can get a ps3 for their birthday too, or do you expect the buyer to instinctively know to interrogate the seller to see if its hackable.
some people get replacements from sony which may be 2500 3k series, do i need to go on

the way you speak seems to suggest that anyone on a 3k model has no right to want the ability. why discriminate?

Because he thinks everybody has the ability to check what model they are buying before hand and he is assuming tnat everybody has a credit / debit card to buy online. In my country you dont get the choice to check the serial number of the PS3 before buying and the bundle is never the same as the ones online as they are here in Ireland. I did check before hand and I didnt find any info on the model I was buying. Also there are only two stores here in this town that sell PS3's. Gamestop and Xtravision. Xtravision was sold out , gamestop didnt have any used PS3's and they only had 250GB models available. I dont have a car so I couldnt go to the city to buy a PS3 and I disnt have a debit card.
