no backup shows up on xmb i did the Debug Settings,navigate to "Boot Mode" and select "Release Mode".
Below, in "Blu-ray Disc Access" select "BD Emulator (USB)".
And below, to use the maximum speed of your HDD, select "HDD Native".
i did eveything rigth in ps3gen i went a on the video on here so i know i have done it right help please !!.

have u connect usb drive to right usb port , also u have to boot ps3 with hdd connect . it wont work if you connect the drive after u boot up the ps3

Yh i connect to the right usb port i tryed re burning my game again with ps3gen still don,t show up,
i also tryed booting with the hdd connect still the same.

Yh i did the game update than turn my ps3 of plug my usb drive in booted up still no game show up.

U have to connect the hdd in the right hdd slot...in ps3 slim it is the right side slot...connect it before turning on the ps3...still if your game is not shown in xmb...try testing whether your hdd is detected by ps3..goto format bd hdd..if your hdd is detected it should ask you whether to format or not...even if you dont install the patch the game should show in xmb..it if does not show then format is bad or image generated using psgen is bad..

yh it formats my hard drive in the debug Settings and my hard drive is connect to the right side slot before i turn my ps3 on but still wouldn,t show on xmb i even tryed other games.

try using a powerd usb hub. thats what i have to use for a few hdd for my slim.

Bro just give this a try...connect ur hdd to pc...open psgen using administrator rights..select command tab and click bdd emulator hdd utility option...check whether any image is set as default image...if not set it then connect ur hdd to ps3...
