Hello everyone,

I have numerous older ps3 games and have backed them all up on my external drive and was using PS3 Break v1.2 and yesterday i received the blue PB2 JB dongle.

I followed the instructions on their site and update to FW 3.55 and when i put the dongle in and booted the PS3 i went to system settings and it showed as "4.11 True Blue V2.7" and the problems came when i wanted to run the games as the older backup managers open manager, backup manager etc didnt run the games and i still needed to find a newer program to run the games so i stupidly installed a true blue v2.7 update pkg file which then attempted to update my PB2 dongle and it remained at 0% doing nothing so i switched the PS3 off and since then the dongle doesnt work. The green light still comes on but the firmware with and without the dongle always shows as 3.55 and never as 4.11 True Blue v2.7.

I've since found Rogerio backup manager 7.8 which looks pretty good but without the dongle its useless as the FW is now too low to run some of the games.

Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to fix this problem?

best advice here is to chuck the bloddy dongle in the bin and read the bloddy news on the front page

Forget TB: install rogero 3.55 v3.4 and use duplex patches.

TB is redundant DRM sh!t.

What they are trying to say... Please read front page post before opening such a post. The True Blue is ending up to be a scam and all the games that it fixed other people can fix without the True blue dongle... For now forget TB and the TB firmware and search for duplex fixes or something

Oh i see, in this case if the PB2 break dongle serves no purpose i wont bother using it. I had no idea it was possible to play my backups without a USB dongle in the ps3.

I will look into the Rogero 3.55 v3.4 and the duplex patches and if it doesnt seem too complicated i will give it a try.

Reinstall OFW 3.55 via recovery to remove TB cfw then install Rogero 3.4 via recovery easy FW links are in my sig

OFW 3.55 = /OFW-CEX/3.55/
Rogero 3.4 = MFW-CEX/Downgrader/Rogero-V3.4/
