Unhappy Death be hallowed thy name

This is not a rant but a pathetic outcry to whom ever is listening.
This here be a true story aarrgghhhhrr*irate impression fails miserably*

My ole 60 gig was working wonderfully for so many years.cech model. Its cfw had no problems.I switched the damn thing off last week after watching a movie on it.

For 6 days i never switched it on and was using my laptop during the week.Well last night i decided to start the ole thing up and play fifa 12.
Can you believe this thing booted and then i saw the yellow light flash then it switched off with the red light blinking.

Now i am a bit confused. Its not overheating as it was off for 6 days,I checked all connections and tried again.

Ok it went on and then switched off immediately...WTF a flashing red light.

I am a electronics guy and i know that with all products there is a predictable time before something goes sour,Telltale signs when something is gonna break.
This is true with the ps3.I opened here up and cleared dust..etc,checked the motherboard and tested supply..etc.Nothing wrong.Really nothing wrong, even the thermal past is ok the fan is spot on.
So tell me how many members here had a spot on disaster like this.

I am dumb struck....the freaking mudda is dead.I do have another ps3 but my son uses that for retail use(non hacks..)

I invite anyone to pass on advice on how to fix this issue.Remember i have read all the light of death threads.

Edit:There were a few times that i got a shock from the hdmi cable from the monitor right.I suspect this is normal.

My 60gb did the exact same thing (back in october), I booted it up after a day or 2 off, put in a PSX back up and it traffic lighted.

I suspect its a thermal paste/reball/reflow to fix issue.

Mine is sat as a door stop until I find a place to fix it.... if I ever do.

Its not thermal paste/reball..etc issue,I know this for a fact.My money is on something my son did and he dont want to tell me.He is 7 years old and naughty as SHYTe.
I think the firmware is wiped off or the flash memory is kaaput.
I have never not fixed a ps3,My business is repairs
If i could get my hands on a flasher maybe i could repair it.

One thing i hate is something that is just weird and unexplained no damage detection not even on a smd level...wtf SOny

IF iunplug the bios battery will this do a reset,I dont want to mess where i am not needed.Mybe flash the damn thing again, thats if i can get it to boot.

OK besides that which slim model is going to mount up to my 60gig.I loved that homebrew machine. No i must go out there and get a slim to downgrade..geeeehhzz

Happens, it's a shiet because it's so friggin unpredictable that you want to smash the damn apparatus to the floor and kick it until works again. (?)

But yeah, it's more unpredictable than windows BSOD'S.

I have an stupid motto = I will not give up until the thing is broken, otherwise i will keep testing the limits. A machine CAN'T BEAT ME.

That's why im trial/error i ****ed up so many things, and now i understand how they work when they will get messed up or if it's already ****ed up i will ****ed up more in order to learn from that piece of shiet xD

Just use a hairdrier on the CPU and GPU for about 10 minutes ;D It will be working for atleast 10 hours, maybe more if you treat it good.
I have a 60 GB launch model, It got ylod and I fixed it several times (Did not put the cover on alot((Main problem was the cover))) Now it has an /almost\ Broken capasiter and one that got resolderd to the board (****in UPS and their hot as **** trucks Overheated the PS3 While it was off and gave it YLOD And broke 2 capasiters!!)

For him it might work but me on the other hand has a true mystery as i took my ps3 apart completely,Checked everything even had my sinwave tester on the board.
At college i remember there was this saying,..something about exponentiation..
