PS3 Hard Drive swap: 1 normal, 1 hacked?
Hi everyone
I was wondering if I could simply swap in another hard drive and install the jailbroken OS onto it, and keep all my normal data onto my original PS3 hard drive. The idea is so that I can try out the new cracked firmware, but keep all the same data and everything so I can use my legitimate PS3 games on the PS3 network. Can I do this? |

The firmware is not located on the HDD in any way.....it is all stored on the NOR chip and the only way that you can do what you are wanting to do is to get a hardware flasher and install a dual-boot so that you can switch from CFW to OFW and back.

Oh, well that makes sense. That was my next question then, could I dualboot it? It seems your answer to that is Yes, so could you please give a link to the thread? I do searches but I suffer from information overload.
