hi guys,

was wondering if someone could give me a few pointers.

have been trying to remarry a blue ray drive.

I had a phat CECHG03 that the developed a dead drive.

Bought a YLOD phat CECHG03 and repaired it. Got 6 months out of it before it went YLOD again.

So instead of repairing it again i decided to check out remarrying the drive from my ylod to my original ps3.

I managed to jailbreak and install kmeaw cf3.55 thanks to itskamel's noob guide and was able to get into factory service mode.

I downloaded the Mega Hiper files for the remarry and followed the tut. this is where I am having the problem.

When I put the game in after the initial remarry process my console can see the disc on the XMB but when i click to run the game the bluray fires up and i can here the beeps from the drive but it just hangs at a black screen and doesnt restore the DRL files .

I have 2.30 pup file on my remarry drive as from what ive read thats whats needed for my ps3.

Can anyone tell me where Im going wrong?

do i need to take out of factory service mode for the DRL files to restore?

hello again,

found the 3.30 firmware and have tried again with no success

can someone please tell me what im doing wrong at least and then i can work on that.

I have been following this video http//www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnnB3NZ6MPQ and can see that this guys uses 3 usb sticks and he doesnt use a bluray movie to restore the files he uses a game.

Please guys a realise that Im being a total noob but 64 views and not 1 reply?

any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

now I know why no one replied.

took out of factory service mode, put game in and away she went.

thanks to the forum as all the help i needed was mostly here anways,

You have to use a blu ray movie for restore DRL

why dont you do what the wiki tells you to do...
