said, if you're on that modded 3.41 PUP and try to update you WILL RSOD.
That said, yes, if you're on the 3.41 downgrader PUP right now, you can safely enter service mode with your ipod, then reinstall an OFW 3.40 or lower. Then exit service mode and install whatever FW you want.
