Now Now, when I was browsing through youtube just to see how many new "jailbreaks" have been released, i came across this -->

I mean the commentator sounds so convincing.. what can i say. I thought to check it out by downloading it and it requires a pass. So, PASS = FAKE !

I would like to dedicate this thread for putting together all the videos in youtube that advertise fake firmware. Please share all the youtube links which are fake, so that users and noobs don't get scammed.

This is also a protection method from sony because sony keeps banning all links
uploaded and affiliated with Ps3FixUnit. And if you guys are to lazy to do that then there is
an alternative, rar unlocker.

Ive attached a free rar unlocker to this file for you lazy people or people
who say that this survey doesnt work. It might take up to 48 hours
to unlock, but hey, no biggie right?

Instructions TrueBlues 4.21 Custom Firmware (0cto):

1. Copy .Pup to Usb Flash Drive.
2. rename to Updat.pup
3. Plug it into Ps3
4. Update via Usb

Instructions for TrueBlue 4.21 (non fix):

1. Copy .Pup to Usb Flash Drive.
2. rename to Updat.pup
3. Plug it into Ps3
4. Update via Usb as normal
5. If an error comes accross, downgrade to 3.55 with 0cto Downgrader via Usb
6. Restart Ps3
7. Update again with TrueBlue 0cto.
8. Still an error update through recovery mode

After you have done jailbreaking, Psn/Playstation store will all work.
Multiman and so one are compatible. This is also the only safe method.
As 4.21/3.55 have loops which let us bypass its update server. Can't
explain to much as it will let sony patch it for future firmwares.

Now there are some consoles (Mostly Slim) That might experience difficulties.
There is another way to jailbreak your console. With Debug mode ps3 aka Dex.
What this does is it will convert your ps3 from Cex(retail) to Dex(Debug).
Dex allows everything that cfw allows and more. So this is the ideal choice.
Multiman, Psn all allowed on any firmware on dex. Thanks to Rogero, and Ps3Fixunit.
You Can downgrade Your Cex to Dex. Ie 4.21CEX to 3.55DEX. This works for all systems.

New 4.21DEX released.

Instructions From Ps3Fixunit:

This is a working Dex Downgrader. If your console isnt on Dex (Devolpers Mode)
rather, Cex (Retail). It will still work so long as you use a conversion form Cex to Dex.
(Downgrade .pup has built in conversion while downgrading). This would also work with 4.21 Ofw (exception) as
Dex has been fragmented into it. What this all means is, now with 4.21 Ofw you can downgrade to 3.55 cfw. From
4.21 OFW/4.20DEX downgrade to 3.55DEX, Use a conversion online or downgrade .pup to go from 3.55DEX to 3.55 Cfw of your choice.
Not recomended, as DEX lets you do everything anywys. 4.20DEX allows Newers Ps3Games To be Downloaded.
Online Supported on all DEX Consoles.

All keys for 4.21DEX have been found. This is also a "Jailbreak" for all version of ps3 firmware. You can use this method with any ps3 firmware you are on.

DEX Allows all backup games to work and all packages to be run.

Tutorial

1. First download the 3.55downgradepup PS3UPDAT.PUP

2. in the root of a flash drive create a folder called PS3

3. now inside the PS3 folder create a folder called UPDATE

4. put the PS3UPDAT.PUP (3.55dowgradepup) you just downloaded inside the UPDATE folder so it should look like this (x:\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP)[where x is the letter for you flash drive]

5. plug your flash drive into your ps3 while it is off, and then turn your ps3 on

6. scroll left in xmb to "setting" then up to "system update"

7. install the update by selectiong "update via storage media" and selecting 3.55 PS3UPDAT.PUP wait while it updates..

8. now you will be on 3.55DEX

11.Next install itskamel'sDEXPUP NewDEXKamel.PUP

12. download this version of multiman

I normally would not do this cause i hate when people do this to legit vids . *FLAG* the video as inappropriate / scam if you can ,that is what it is.
