i just setup everything as in tutorial and just insert the update.bin file into my microsd card, and the 8 blue lights not light up at all. then i do some research and some says that my clip is not tightly clipped, and from there my ps3 just dead...zzz

If you havn't flashed anything, then it'll be alright.
did you sand down the edges of the clip? As well what motherboard type do you have? |

Like I stated in your other thread I believe that you have gotten a clone.

actually i've installed e3 flasher and the first step is put the update.bin into micro sd and but it didnt work as it should, they should be 8 blue LED light come up but it turned out otherwise, then , i googled the solution which peoples says its mostly related to the clip connector etc. so, i open up again and put it back naked and from there the problem arise. one more thing i simply shutdown esata and plug. is it fine doing that? |

check your connection to the hard drive, the lights should come on.
try plugging in the E-sata cable in and angle the cable so it moves the flasher. See if it brings the lights on. let me know if you don't understand what I mean. |

if it's a clone is this confirmed/proven not working? it's like with the original that people cannot get it working either, maibe it works afterall being a clone anyway, anyone have a spare one wanna get rid of it, just like to test it to see what it does
![]() pls check all ur connections and try again, could be ur wasting time on it if not working at all..not sure on this so, all i can tell u those errors occur also on real E3 if not properly fitted. be it the clip not 100% fitting the NOR or a bad connection(no blue leds etc..) at the front(HDD slot<->e3 board conn, tfboard not fitted all the way, the E-SATA cable ..) The update.bin is just for updating the e3 flashers firmware. It has absolutely nothing to do with the consoles firmware. It doesn't write or read to the nor, so I am confused where your problem lies. Definitely check all connections again. There are a lot of people who tried to use the clone and it did the same thing as far as not lighting up blue or taking the update. It shouldn't render your ps3 useless. In any case, you definitely didn't flash to the nor so all the per console data is still there. A real flasher can extract it and then you can patch it reflash it if it did somehow try to write to the nor, which I HiGHLY doubt.
