There's already a small 4.05.02 update with improved compatibility for mmDM and corrected paths for Showtime. Update is available via mmCM update utitlity.

To clarify-

* I can use MMDM on 4.20 DEX OFW to launch backups from my PS3 internal HDD?

OR

* I can use MMDM on 4.20 DEX OFW to launch backups from my PC across the network? The backups are either games with 3.55 fixed eboot's, or higher firmware titles which have repackaged updates i.e the DEX method of playing games?

Yeah I've re-tested a few of the games I couldn't get working originally, and using your new method it's much better and easier, there's definitely a big improvement over just using app_home with TM, hats off!

(that original list was compatability using the old technique, not yours! I've edited that in, in case there's any confusion..)

@aldostools : That game mounting app will be great to use via VNC viewer on my phone/tablet, thanks!

You should be able to use mM to select the game you want to play. mM tells mmDM to switch games and it works. @JonahUK , I don't know what issues you had, but I never had mM lock while selecting a network game.

After enabling nethost, it would start scanning and then just hard lock.
I thought at first it might be the number of games so I tried it with just one game in the folder and it would still lock up.

I also noticed "garbled" icons with the newer version as well.

It's not an issue for me as I have my DEX PS3 next to the PC (connected to the same monitor) so I just use Aldo's app and switch inputs on my monitor when needed.

Mine doesn't lock/freeze it's just an empty list in MM. I can select it via PC anyway, so I'm not fussed (would be nice though) 4.20 DEX here too.

EDIT: I should have mentioned I was on 4.05.01 - updating to 4.05.02 fixes this!

Hm, that's weird. I guess you have the "Network Servers" set up properly in Settings with the IP of your PC and the default port. That's how mM connects to mmDM.

All IP/Port settings correctly set.
Like I said previously, not an issue for me as my PS3 and PC are next to each other.

I have deleted mM for now so will install it later and give it another go (currently in work).
