ok, so i posted this a while ago, during the server issues and it got lost in the huge expancive of space that is the internet.

I want to compile a list of WORKING homebrew on Swap Magic, for all of use who use it and love it! so far we have:

Good Post! I almost missed it.

Tetris and Bastet(tetris with a twist)
Vectrex emulator. Unfortunately it seems the usb drivers aren´t working so you can only play the 1 game it came with. an asteroids type game. all 3 elfs.

ok, we all know that only uLaunch.elf 3.41 works with the embedded usb drivers on the ps3. if you want to use any of the other versions you have to use external usbd.irx on the vmc. That´s all good but if you use alot of vmc´s you have to put the setup on each one.
So I recompiled uLaunch.elf 4.27 with working usb drivers on the ps3.

Dj_3sixty, are you able to run the FCEultra emu? so far I can´t find anyone with a pal console who can run it. I was going to report it as only working on the 60gb NTSC model.
I´ve tried everything I can think of. sm cd,dvd, different usbd.irx. I´m out of ideas.

i have only tested snes and sega emus, found that GEOTRON is not working on pal, or it takes about 10 minutes to load as that how long i left it on the LOADING screen, so might remove that, unless anyone else HAS got it to work.

i'll get onto testing FCEUltra now, there is a video on youtube of someone doing it so it must be possible, tho it might need some tweeking!

I checked Geotron and it loads fine on my PAL ps3. FW 2.30
Maybe you have a different version?

It´s actually a fun little game.

Here´s Ulaunch.elf 4.28 with working usb drivers for the ps3

and a port of the game Tyrian for the ps2 by user112.
it works using psxloader with option D. you have to copy all the files into the psxloader folder. you might want to make a backup of your psxloader folder first because it gets messy with all those files in there.

it´s not a bad game. I played it on the psp. it´s not fullscreen though.

btw i think its an atari 5200 emulator not amiga as there wasnt a 5200 model

yes swap magic does work on the ps3, for booting a few .elf files.
NO it will not boot a back up ps2 game, the only way to play any back-ups is with the swap switch which involves opening ur ps3 up and fitting a switch to the blu-ray drive - GOOGLE IT!

thank you for the heads up, i have changed the first post, also i haven't done much with this lately as aries2k has worked out a load of things and posted, and nothing new is really coming up anymore! its just good we have the SNES and Mega Drives ones still!

Well since things have been kind of slow, I´ll post a little update on ps2homebrew.
There´s good old space invaders with sound.
Also a new Tetris with sound by Ifcaro. I´d like to point out that although his later releases of the game needed psxloader, he took the time to make a release that didn´t need psxloader for people using the ps3.

and my small contribution to people using ps2brew on the ps3, uLaunch.elf 4.30 with working usb drivers. the drivers are from the "scene" so its all legit. the usbd.irx is from Launch.elf 3.41 and the usbmass is from psxloader.

@Dj_3sixty. this is a very late reply, but your welcome I like helping out with the ps2 stuff. I´d like to do more but the ps3 side is way over my head so I decided I would concentrate on the ps2 side of things. I´ve learned a little bit of ps2 coding in the process so it´s all good.
