Yeah ebay would probably be a good source. I was just seeing if I could lend a hand since I have so many parts laying around. I am not sure if the drives I have would work on a chechc03 or not, but you/me can do some research. If they do work, and you cant find one for a decent price that you are willing to pay, give me a shout. I will see what I can do to help out a fellow hax member.

Also, you can try taking it apart and using denatured alcohol to clean the eye/lens. I did that on a chechg01 and it works like a champ. Been 6 months and still no problems.

@JustThatDude What sort of homebrew? Multiman? Sorry no idea about the Drive. I've only opened it once to re-apply paste to the CPU for precaution (no YLOD yet!)

Any homebrew because you can't run homebrew with a bad logic board so it would be able to tell us if that is the problem with the drive. I'll research to see what the drives model is

@zideeq no, unfortunately I am from USA. Home of the idiots who spend like crap and borrow more than we can ever pay back. But let's not get into politics. I'm not sure how much it would cost to ship, but the part would be a good price
@JustThatDude which drive model are you asking about? The chehcg01 I cleaned or the checha01 that I have? I don't have a drive for your chech2001 model. Don't worry, I remember and am keeping an eye out for ya. I have 3 more ps3 on the way. I am not sure the models on all of them yet.

thanks to both of you guys man, you're both really helpful and @Bigbones87 , no worries bud, I'll hold onto this PS3 and just grab another one, I always find them cheap at local markets (think you call 'em yard sales? or something lol)

@JustThatDude cool dude, thanks aplenty! if you can't find it, I'll open my PS3 up, it won't be too hard I think. Also my power button for some reason no longer works when AFTER I power the PS3 on lol, it never let's me press it again, I have to switch it off or use the PSN Menu, wierd or what? this PS3 is getting funky

Oh no I was talking about @zideeq drive model I researched and found that his laser is a kes-400a and also the logic board I need is a bmd-051 so that you can easier identify it if you come across one and thanks for still looking
