Your lucky they didn't update to 4.21 because you can't downgrade firmware 4.21. The highest downgradeable firmware is 4.20.

Pretty sure you can downgrade 4.21 to whatever your lowest FW is on your PS3 according to MINVERCHK... why wouldn't you be able to ?

EDIT: just noticed you posted in this thread too: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php...225#post428225

Has there been proof of sony patching this in 4.21? can you point me towards some reading on the matter?

That is a big statement. I googled about and couldn't find anything solid on that....

I know I read it on this forum. Someone posted that he couldn't downgrade from 4.21... I don't hear anything from E3 saying that it wasn't downgrade-able and also didn't hear E3 saying that it is downgrade-able... Anyways, I do hope that I an wrong and that it is downgrade-able. I would really hate to see that Sony succeeded blocking the models that are possible to downgrade with just a firmware update.

Send a message via AIM to falloutsux Send a message via Skype™ to falloutsux
than that was their fault on being stupid and not being able to use their own hardware

downgrade is always an option at the moment

Hmm jdtamimi, but in the same thread:

http://www.ps3hax.net/showpost.php?p=412271&postcount=7

followed by thread closed for :

We don't have more solid reports (except what Op stated his personal experience) about this. I think it's not time to sound the alarm yet and i doubt sony took any measure against hardware flashers on 4.21 OFW
I think we would have heard a lot more confirmations by now surely?? That was 3 weeks ago...
