It Should Atleast attempt to detect the drive, You can try the drive and if it does not work try to remarry it, If that fails the drive is bad.

The drive will not work with the MFW because the BD firmware is removed.

Ok. Well I don't have a bios dump from this console or a progskeet to get one,so I don't want to do anything to possibly brick it. I will just remarry the drive and let it tell me if the drive is good, if not, I will replace it. Thanks @tjhooker73 and @ichris for the input. Either of you have a remarry tut you would recommend in mind?

there is a rogero CFW with no bd for remarry on the wiki With a how to http://www.ps3devwiki.com/files/firm...r/355noBDnoBT/
But you will need to make it do the Promo-Retail in mfw builder so it can install.
I can add the code and make it Promo to retail SEX-CEX

You are way more knowledgable about this than I. Like I said, whatever will get this thing working without bricking it. I would apreciate whatever I need to get it updated for remarry, and then if I don't get one remarried than I will move on to going to rogero with no bd drive. I don't need the mfw rogero if I get a drive married to it.

As soon as it installs and you remarry the drive you can update to the rogero version of your choice.

Yeah, that's what I thought. So just a mfw for remarry with no bd drive and going from demo to retail should do it. And then I will read around for remarrying tut. Wouldn't want you to spoon feed me the entire way. Unless you just feel like pointing me in the right direction. I knowIOU have to put a blue ray disk in before exiting or something to make it have blue ray playback or something like that. I will read up on it. Thanks.I really apreciate it.
