Welpy, I shall be upgrading soon, but lack of having to pay for an online service that offers next to nothing I will still have to keep my saves on the PS3 and USB devices which is better then all this "cloud" nonsense. I don't want my stuff on someone else's server farm that would take no responsibility if the data went missing!

For those worried about upcoming game released let me say this. I just bought Madden 13 over the weekend and I was on 4.20 the game would not load and required me to go to 4.21....thought it was weird since it was just released on the 28th. So who knows what newer games are going to require.

quite funny how they offer 1gb of game save storage if you pay while steam really offers as much as you want for free.

True: but look at it this way, you don't get to rent games for free on Steam like you do PS+. I say "rent" because you don't really own them (play them until you stop paying for PS+), with that being the case, I gotta say I was skeptical for PS+ until they started in July releasing free titles, a lot of them retail games I never would have considered buying, while some we obviously had. It's worth the value for that alone, unless of course you don't want to support Sony for a kazzillion reasons mentioned across the thousands of articles spanned on this site alone; and no one would think any less of you.

kinda hoping for 4.20 keys since someone said they will release them untill a new update is out so that they wont wherry about leaking i think lol but i also think this is kinda another useless update in my opinion. But overall i hope they will release 4.20 keys soon i miss being on 3.55 after the accident. XD

It's only worth paying for if the user knows he/she isn't keeping the games forever but as rentals, because in the end, they'll all stop working.

You know, there'll be the day Sony shuts down the support for all PS3 products and especially PS Plus.

I for one like to keep the games not rentals..

If one had to update,the same rules apply to the slim downgrading 4.21.If the hardware stays the same the flasher can downgrade any higher firmware.Is this correct

That is correct. Sony cannot magically change the hardware you have, nor can they disconnect that hardware flasher you put on the console's flash chips.

That's why 3K exists and 4K are in production to counter attack hardware flasher use. (maybe..)

Not longer optional, went to PSN i had to update 4.25. So far so good.

No, at least from what I have heard. The 3k just has the regular old requirement of firmware revision must be higher than or equal to starting firmware, which is 3.60+. 4k... Might have an actual hardware revision.
