I really do want to downgrade my PS3 Slim (250 GB Edt.) to 3.55 FW but the E3 Flasher costs money and I'd have to be very careful not to ruin anything on it.

Why can't the PS3 be as simple as PSP.. Install CFW and get over with someday?

Well E3 Said they would Release the keys and have something set up in 2 months; 31 of september is the end of 2 months.

Hello nice to meet you all in this thread also. I've educated myself enough over the past week on this whole scene with most of the threads (took quite a bit of time reading it all lol)and reading them. i get the jist it's ok to upgrade to 4.25 being on 4.21 OFW without having a flasher at the moment to downgrade.
But do you all suggest i wait till the 31 of September before buying a flasher, because E3 may release the keys for free on downgrading? < (sentence may not make any sense lol. if not correct this newbie noobie Hoch the Sloch.)

E3 is known to stall and go quiet for long periods of time.

Because September 2012 ends by the 30th, there's 31st of October 2012, though.
