should be the last question..can i marry any blu ray drive board as long as it fits the laser type..because the ones i have now are not accepting the disc even forcefully..the 3.55 it would take them in no problem and the clock would spin..but the 3.42 its turning on the playstation when i try to put it in but no accepting them..

Hmm....ps3devwiki has a compatiblity guide for blue ray drive boards. Check there. If the board hooks up to the motherboard you should be fine. The problem is some drive boards want to work a single laser and some drives are dual laser. Not 100% so check the devwiki

Yea i looked at the site and it says i have matching board but not taking in discs just turnin on console with sensor..i also figured the only boards it would take are the one with for tabs on top since dual lasers only have 3 tabs on the board and single lasers have four (the fourth tab being the skinny brown motor wire)..also is it normal for the 3.55 nobtnoblry pup to take forever on the checking stage? one i enter recovery mode and hit system update it then says checking and has a clock spinning in the right corner..been like that for 10 mins now

It said checking for update for like a minute or two or mine, but not 10. Not sure what is going on there. Might want to check and make sure it is in the the right folders and in all caps.

PS3/UPDATE Folder is good..Do i need to rename the 355nobdnobt.pup to PS3UPDAT.PUP?

Crazy i changed it and it did the same thing "checking for 10-15 mins tried it agian and same thing...so i decided wth i will try the xmb update instead of recovery mode and it worked in like 5 mins total...idk maybe a fluke but it only work when i went to home screen then sytem update

Theres no way way to remarry on 4.21 w/o an e3 flasher right?
