No i haven't switched yet, but arch and fedora are looking pretty fun.
anyways I'm building the v2, but keep erroring out with Error: configure: error: couldn't find libraries for gethostbyname() ../scripts/015-libcurl-7.21.6.sh: Failed. ../scripts/009-ps3libraries.sh: Failed. ERROR: Could not run the toolchain script. psl1ght built, do I need all the libs in ps3libraries? |

Ok got v2 to compile completely, downloaded openps3ftp just make sure. went fine.
but now in EFL I get this error error: escape_unistd.c:16:23: fatal error: libiberty.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated. isn't that part of the compiler? Has anybody set up EFL on there box? |

I haven't got around to it, I'll do it now and see what happens.
edit: btw, if you decide to partition and install linux to dual boot. you can get it done in about an hour(excluding downloading the os). I know I keep pitching linux, but I hated myself for taking as long as I did to switch permanently. update: just built openps3ftp without a problem. escape is just an example program, did it break anything or just complain. It failed on mine as well, just in a different way.

That's the plan, to dual boot, but my hard drive is pretty close to full. As Soon as I upgrade, I'm just going to partition on the new drive when I set it up and load Linux on it. Haven't picked a flavor yet. What do you use?
Not sure if it broke. Everything went fine until build_ps3efl.sh, which instantly failed on escape. It make cleans the escape directory, and makes it to make all in lib, and fails with the error from earlier. Maybe the sample isn't for ps3? |

I've read a lot of good things about fedora, that or arch is what I'll probably use. Linux from scratch is going to be my next vm venture though. Suppossed to really teach you what Linux is all about.
Could I ask you to do one more thing? While sidetracked, I tried to build rsxgl, and fail on makedepend with: No rule to make target depend, needed by default. Stop I'm almost completely new to cli, and make in general. Could you try to build on yours to see if you get the same problem? |
