Different YLOD (nooob)

Hi, I have two ps3 slims with ylod.
1) switches on then instant green, yellow, red.
2) switches on green then 5 secs yellow then red.
I take it that each are showing different faults, is there any fault/diagnostic programs that find out what is faulty ?.

Thanks in advance.

from what i know it's just a general hardware faillure. it can be anything.

the first one could be a power supply issue? , maybe no 12v delivered when on?

I read on ps3devwiki somewhere that a dev was trying to determin the meaning behind the ylod. They actually made some progress too. Something like turning it on then after it shuts off switch the power switch off then back on and hold the power button and count the red flashes. They were able to get is liar results from different ps3 consoles that had the same problem. Look there and see if you can find it.
