I don't see the big deal here.
I have a PS3 and a CRT television on my bedroom where I play.
I've already played PS3 on an HD television and it's better but since I can't, at the moment,
afford an HD television I'm "forced" to play in SD.
I've been playing all my PS3 games in SD and I don't miss the HD all that much.
I only wish I had a bigger TV.
The TV which I have in my bedroom is about the same size as the one in the first post.

I also started off with a SD tv with my PS3. The PS3 did make me buy a HD tv shortly after. I can understand this though. My daughter plays her 360 on a SD tv. I have to worry about feeding them and clothing them... not buying **** for them that they dont need. Sometimes I spoil her a little and let her hook it up to my monitor.

the smaller the tv the harder to see people far away or im just blind

i got my HD TV before the ps3 was out i got it for a xbox it cost a arm and a leg and its only 1080i LOL was about £1,200 in june 06 now you can get bigger tv's with better HD for a quarter of the price
