Hard drive is CORRUPTED after installing spoofer.. NEED HELP

hi guys!

i recently tried to install a 4.11 spoofer on my 320gb ps3 unit (3.55 CFW kmeaw) as instructed to me when i downloaded the fixes for Catherine(US)..

it kinda freezes during installation but i let the intallation finished... when the "installation was complete" message appears, i turned off my unit and turned it on again.

Thats when my problem started... "Hard Disk file system was corrupted and will be restore" message keeps on appearing even after i press the OK.

I tried fixing it by this: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=35695

i followed his route#2 instruction but the corruption message still appearing...

i havent tried his route#3 since i dont have an enclosure...

can someone knows another way for me to fix my ps3 unit without losing my game saves?? pls pls!

thanks alot for those who will help!

nah im sorry to say but theres no way of fixing a corrupted HDD
well you can get programs on ur PC to fix it and but i have never had any success with this ur best bet would be to back up ur stuff (if possible) and get a new HDD

If this above is what is happening to you & when the PS3 restarts every time it comes back ? If so,this happened to me also. I hoped it would recover like it did a 2 times in the past, but this time for me it was stuck in a loop. It seems like PS3 Phats are more sensitive to this i noticed with this message happening /hard resets, etc I have 2 Slims/2 Phats PS3s ,i only seen this happen on my phat PS3s.. Seems the slim PS3 can handle ,hard reboots more than a phat can before receiving this message ,at least my experience..

I finally took out the hard drive ,put it in a sata 2.5 external hard drive case ,connected USB to PC. Deleted everything on my PS3 drive ,using EASEUS Partition software. Reformatted it to FAT 32 for the hell of it. Then inserted it back in my PS3 /then started it up. When it started up, i do not remember exactly what it did first, was a long time ago, but it did work & did ask for firmware version i had on at the time. Reinstalled/reformatted & i got my PS3 working again it was not the drive. it was defiantly the "Recovery Failure" & my PS3 was like new.

I would try this, you have nothing else to lose .It did 100% work for me. You will need a way to connect the drive to a PC obviously though/sata external Hard Drive Case/Sata Docking Station, etc It is worth a try ,i lost everything including PSN data. I called/complained to Sony + talked to PSN network & they let me re-download my movies which they don't let you re-download movies, but i gave them hell, about there recovery system failing + Much more ..

Good luck with that..

It all depends how much data you lose. I lost 400GB it took me almost 1+ day/s of downloading / installing everything from PSN. After that experience i now have backups of all my ps3s. The 400GB backup took like 22hrs to backup to a external ,but doing a restore when you already backed up everything is 10x faster than when doing a full backup.

My slim i use everyday has 800GB internal used up i have 200GB left ,i sure hope i don't lose anything on that lol i never did a full backup for that it would take almost 3 days straight. Always check the weather if ever doing a big back up like i did !
