Question About to buy a ps3 with update loop problem, need help

Ok , so I found a guy selling a ps3 slim, which is having update loop issues

So my question is, Can I fix it ? By connecting the progskeet or something .?

depends on what the error code is thats causing the update loop

I know that you can get it into service mode then if it is on >3.55 fw flash it with your progskeet...

with a flasher, most anything is possible. No matter what is causing the update loop, you should be able to fix it with reflashing.

ok if the update loop was eg this error code 0x8002F1F9 could a flasher fix it nope . so like i said it depends on the error in what is causeing the problem

No but i have heard of formatting the hard drive to NTFS and then letting the ps3 reformat it to fix that error, which would also end the loop, without flasher.

I am just stating that most things can be fixed with either a flasher or replacing some hardware like a hard drive or psu. It just all depends on what you are willing to do to fix it. Not trying to be an ass so sorry if i came off that way. Im sure you know way more than me, because i am in no way an expert
