YLOD after attaching USB port ribbon cable while powered on....
ok so short and sweet, i was getting ready to do a downgrade on a cech-h01 and i started taking it apart and then thought to myself that i should check to see what fw the system was on cause sometimes people bring me systems on 3.55 and below for downgrades not even knowing they dont need it. so i put the psu back on and turned it on and needed to connect a controller but i haddent reconnected the ribbon cable back to the mnother board for the usb ports... so since im such a lazy **** i tryed to connect it while the system was still on and as soon as i connectedf it it yloded... im thinking its a fuse... but where is the fuse on the cech-h01 mobo? if it is a fuse...

You should be turning them on, checking firmware, and making sure they work.
At least I do, before everyone I do. Or else someone will drop one off that doesn't work, and you will be blamed for it. ![]() You should be able to just switch the power off for a minute. Unplug the power. Make sure the ribbon is plugged correctly. Plug it back in and power it on. It should be fine. If not, you may have fried the wifi/bt module. Try and turn it on without the ribbon in. Or maybe it is a fuse, and in that case: Take some high resolution pics of the area. Get out your multimeter, and wait for @Mr.Dutch (aka Mr. Fuse)

Protip: It wont YLOD from unplugging ANYTHING while the console is still running. The worst it could do is just POWER OFF or even power ON if its in standby.

![]() too bad that you are right about the fuse, it's listed as a 5A fuse, so how easily would it blow...
