Rogero to Kmeaw
Hello everyone,I'm new around here and I recently bought a Ps3 Slim 160 GB.I thought of myself as a noob and decided to get the console modded by a "professional".Only after did i check and notice that most of you guys are using Kmeaw and apparently I have Rogero and I thought I would ask if I should switch over to Rogero.
I believe it's rogero since when I turn on the Ps3 it says Rogero above the wavy animation(yes it sounds retarded I know but I'm a noob so I'm just making sure lol).Something odd is the fact that it shows 4.25 at system information. Anyway back to the main point,my main question is how do I proceed to safely install Kmeaw(scared of bricks xD) and what would be the wisest course of action. I was starting to feel doubtful when I tried to run Dragon's Dogma via MM and I got an 8001009 error when trying to run it from app_home/PS3_game folder Thank you in advance for your assistance and sorry for being such an utter noob. Rogero is still active in the scene so he still develops and maintains his CFW and Kmeaw has not been active for some time and may not.... Second, you shouldn't try to start games up from the app_home/PS3_game folder but instead put a disc in your console and once you load the game in your backup manager it will change the disc icon to the game that you loaded instead of what it really is. Once it does that then you start the game from that disc icon and you shouldn't have any problem unless you haven't applied the fixes properly.

I see thank you very much for your reply.I have another question, can I only run games that have Eboot patches developed for them(using ps3scenefiles and there aren't so many games there) or are there some that work without patches.

There are fixes all over the net, not just at ps3scenefiles. While they do have a lot of fixes they are missing more than they have. Here is a good site that gives more info on what games have fixes and how to make them work...> http://www.pshomebrew.net/wiki/PS3_B...atibility_List

Rogero > KMEAW
![]() the latest version is 3.55 v3.6 which is available here: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/files/firm...EX/Downgrader/ Like @ichris said put a disc in and maximize probability of any game running, in conjunction with the correct patches.
