Lightbulb Has anyone seen this screen on a PS3 DEX and what is it for?

So... what the hell is this and what does it do? When this showed up, I had to turn it off and restart it by holding down the power button until it beeped once, before recovery mode and it booted into XMB once more.

Just curious, have never ran across this before. Thanks for any info for a curious cat. Best regards...

I'm too drunk to remember what debug option you selected but that screen is normal for a dex ps3 to display.

You selected a debug option that made that screen come up.

You can return your ps3 to the xmb with target manager or you can hold the power button like you did. Either way is okay.

That's Debugger Mode.
You can activate it in the debug options menu under the voice "Boot Mode" but it's not really useful unless you are a developer and you can deactivate it by doing the power button thing like you did or by using the Target Manager.

You ainīt kidding. I didnīt have Target Manager setup and I had no idea how to get out.
Luckily @JonahUK gave me a really quick response about holding down the reset button. I did sweat for a few minutes though, lol

Thanks all for the responses. Honestly, I half expected to wake up "Banned" because of the SCE Confidential part bull****. I think I went from "Release Mode" to "System Software Mode" to "Debugger Mode". I think that's how I got to this screen.

Thanks again you guys/gals I do appreciate the answers and no ban either!

There is an option in the ProDG TM to "Reset into System Software Mode". You can return to XMB anytime.
