i think the standard dual analog 10 button gamepad is gonna be done with by this gen.... Every hardware manufacturer has gone the way of motion controls and for next gen itll be pretty sweet to see how video game developers can come up with new ideas in the ways we interact with those games

I'm gonna patent the use of a harmonica-type device instead, where instead of sounds, the harmonica-controller translates them to signals which can be set to be "button" on a controller.

I would also patent pissing into a urinal and a sensor to detect the stream's movement and flow rate to use as controls, but someone beat me to it; ****ing taking the piss is that!

First glance, immaturally thinking I thought this was some form of gaming erotica with Sony explicit devices but that's being vulgar.

All jokes aside though, great to see Sony developing different ways to game outside of the controller.

Nah, sony is just inventing wild patents and sitting on them so that when the time comes for someone to invent these things as a need, sony will come and say, "ah ha we own the patient for that, we'll lease you these rights for a fee."

That's all I need to say about that.

Informative article. It will be fun to see what Sony will do with those patents. Especially whether they will use them to just patent-troll or actually produce something worthwhile.

And some constructive criticism, which as a writer will hopefully help you a little. Some tips on redundancy:

Other than that, run your text through a spell-check and you should be golden.

Some constructive criticism for you @psg

There's no use trying to turn the internet into a text book. They are one of the greatest opposites one can find.

I highly doubt there was one person who thought twice about what was meant by those two quotes from GregoryRasputin. But if you would like to point out every punctuation and gramer mistake out from people in a forum, expect not to be liked much as its just a waste of time and is quite annoying.

No offense meant.

Apologies for the off topic

And I open up ps3hax and see that classic Jessica Chobot licking the PSP pic.....
I really want a dual shock 4 as the primary means of PS4 control but I can also understand the touch screen craze thanks to Wii U and Xbox SmartGlass, and the ever growing need to put out something innovative.

The next generation is scaring me a little with this new direction and all the rumors (like anti used games security).... oh well there will still be my trusty gaming PC is things get too weird.

As cool as new things may be, these companies need to also realize that the market is made by people in my age group. We grew up with everything from atari to current gen. Now we are also the people that are bringing in the next generation (our children) into the world of gaming. No matter how cool the wiimote, kinect, move, or this new touch screen craze may be, at the end of the day I know I personally, as well as my kids prefer the feel of a controller in hand. The saying goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" well Sony there is a reason you kept the same basic dualshock design for 3 generations....because it works and it works well.

No matter how cool and/or innovative new controllers or peripherals may be, dont abandon what 90% of your customers are comfortable with and prefer.

Not sure how comfortable I would be with sticking a piece of electronics, even if it carries very low volts and amps, in my mouth.....unless well it is taco shaped

Edit: I notice your comment about this could be used for people with disabilities and that would be great for the gaming community. It is always good to get more people involved with gaming, especially if they cant enjoy it today because of the way controllers are made. I can see the kid that becomes paralyzed and is still able to play video games while in the hospital, rehabilitation, physical therapy, or even if they have a grim prognosis. It doesn't take much to make a child happy and this could be awesome if used for this purpose. There were prototypes of quadriplegics that could play NES just by using their breath years ago.

Hey im all for constructive criticism, i welcome it, though in your case, when you are talking out of your arse, then it is far from constructive, let me explain....

A child cannot be mature[/QUOTE]
You are either:
A.) A retard.
B.) Fatherless.
C.) A father with bad children.
D.) A father who doesn't know how to raise his children properly.

A child stops being a child at the age of 18, i know many, many 14+ year olds(Children) on this forum who are extremely mature, take @MohammadAG , when he became a moderator, he was only 15, he was one of the most mature kids i had ever met, so your statement about kids not being mature makes you the biggest ass talker on this forum....

If you don't take my word about children being mature, ask the many fathers of this forum, like @BobbyBlunt and @japsander or me, who has a 14 year old and twin 4 year olds, who are far more mature than most people on this forum

You are pointing that ALL adults are mature, another failing in your part

I was not pointing out that "the child" is immature, i was pointing out the child like immaturity in me, it seems here that its your brain that is redundant.

The reason i wrote disabilities and paralysed was to show the difference between the two, yes there are paralysed people, but there are also disabled people who are not paralysed.

You spell paralysed with a "Z" and offence with an "S" and you speak of my spelling problems, i use British English, the proper non bastardised version of the English language, so my spelling is fine, i could ask @Wolfie708 to teach you how to spell properly.

I write news for an PS3 hacking site, it doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to get the point across, im not searching for a Pulitzer price nor am i looking for any type of journalism job, so my writing is just fine.

If you want to be a reliable, semi-professional news source, then some proof reading, correct syntax, structure, and grammar would make you appear more credible.

I haven't corrected some dolt's forum post, I corrected a news article on the front-page.
