I don't care for this idea for playing my games... far less quality and connection interruptions. I've used OnLive several times and gameplay on that kind of service is subpar.

Yeah, streaming video doesn't reproduce rich blacks like it should... or at least that's what my biggest gripe was about when I was playing Arkham Asylum on it. I don't see Gaikai being much different but I could be wrong. In any case, if they make it like a rental system where you get to play the entire library for X amount per month or year, that wouldn't be bad. If you have to pay per game... I'll pass.

I wonder what will happen to games that are multi-plat for instance would it be better to play crysis 2 natively on the ps3 or stream the pc version on the ps3. I think this service would be good for "smart" tvs especially if you dont want to hook up extra hardware to said tvs. Most tvs come with a usb port and i think hooking up a ps3 controller/360 or wireless keyboard and mouse shouldnt be a problem... Even on wifi i had quality problems more than connection problems with onlive. For some reason you couldnt stream @ "1080p" using onlive's pc application but you could with a microconsole.... I guess this will be there way for holding on to bc for ps3 games with new playstation hardware but i think it will be great to play some ps3 exclusives on some other device....

Sony already have 2 rival smart TVs Makers signed up, samsung & LG. This has the potential to be huge revenue stream.

Biggest problem with Onlive was ther use of compression that made pic quality poor including blacks. Gaikai does'nt compress as much, pic quality is miles better.
