Red face Need help to prepare my PS Jailbreak dongle for Downgrading.

Hello,

So i manage to use and install the E3 Flasher Limited.

Now I have come to the point where I have to prepare my standard PS-Jailbreak dongle to downgrade my ps3 slim 320GB "CECH-2504B" (see the picture down below:

I dont have any idea how to and what file I have to put on the PSjailbreak dongle!

Is it this file "e3 card reader downgrader.bin" 50 kilobyte that I have to copy to the dongle root`? and afterwards do the "Power & Eject" trick`?

I have also done "power and eject" trick with my standard PSJailbreak dongle and my ps3 comes up with message on the screen "Please connect the PS Controller and hit the PS button the control"

I did that and I get a new screen message "Harddisk is not correct and format it and update the ps3 to 3.70 firmware bla bla" I have done it a couple a times and I get the same message.

Will this give me problem in the future? Becuase I have done the abow a couple af times?

I hope there is a kind soul to help me finish my E3 FLASH Downgrade project.

PS Jailbreak (the 1st one) AT90USB162 16 Yes No (only with ISP) 16KB 512 Bytes 109.95
?

I'm not too up to date on using dongles these days, but I would guess you need to update/flash your dongle with the hex/bin to make it a FSM dongle, you cant "put it on the root".

yes, I think you are right.

How can you flash the file into the PS Jailbreak dongle?

First option:

http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Downg...PSgrade_Dongle

Read thoroughly, and try update your dongle with the mentioned files to turn it into a FSM dongle.
(Your device PS Jailbreak is on the list of alternate compatible devices for that method )

Second option:

Step 1 - Download PS Updater from PSJailbreak.com
Step 2 - Click the start button and type in the search bar UAC and click on User Account Control Settings listed above. Inside this menu please lower the settings to lowest priority, Save and restart your computer.
Step 3 - Unrar/Unzip and click on setup.exe
Step 4 - Follow the steps by clicking next until you reach the point of setup where it asks you to plug in your Jailbreak device
Step 5 - Plug in your PS Jailbreak device and click next
Step 6 - Choose Unknown Device #1 from the list and click next
Step 7 - Click save to save the .ini file under the place it wants
Step 8 - Click install driver and now complete installation
I cannot find the site/software for optiont 2, but you might have it on the packaging or an included cd or something?

EDIT: turns out site is long gone, any search I make sends me back to the eclipse updater page above, so it must be that or nothing

Hope this helps.

I may have the software if you have the same PS Jailbreak as me.

Plug it into your PC and go to Device manager and find it under Human Interface Devices > USB Human Interface Devices and check the properties. On the general tab it should have Location and a model number or such. Let me know the info

ISP programmer.

Links are dead in that tutorial.... google it?

EDIT:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ispp...iles/1.2.0.53/

Think thats the one. Funnily enough your PS jailbreak is mentioned in the thread i just posted about

I still think if possible use the eclipse tools or wait to see if redtree has the original tool.

@djbaaz Hmm, this might not work but here is the software I used to program mine for downgrade http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22049070/dow...graderV3.0.zip

If "connected" appears you can simply choose downgrader in the dropdown menu and hit start. If it's not the right program it will say device not detected.
