Greetings Folks ,

I have a PS3 Slim 160GB and wish to buy the PS3 Move starter bundle/kit, but I am not sure about their inter-compatibility. Could you please advise?

Move is for all ps3

Yes there is no question of incompatibility.

It is a peripheral. It is designed to work on ANY PS3.

technically it is and not , if the ps3 was on fw 3.21 or under then the move wouldnt work as the move didnt come out till 3.40 fw update .

Yes but it came with a demo disc to update your PS3 to 3.40-3.41 etc so you can use it on any PS3 that isnt already 3.40+... :P

And since ALL 160GB slims start off with 3.40 installed your case is moot

All 160/320GB PS3's come with 3.40 or higher.
And even if they didn't, any PS Move compatible game would force a 3.40+ update.

lets say he lost the demo disc , he got not net and his ps3 was original 120gb , he just upraded his hdd to 160 gb and he on 3.15 fw then it wouldnt work .

so if a ps3 is on fw 3.21 or under it wouldnt work unless the ps3 got update to 3.40 and above . so technically untill then its wouldnt be compatible lol

think i might go on the ps3 as im bored and i think im going on one cos of that

If he doesnt know if move will work on his PS3, I doubt he upgraded his HDD (esp for 40GB difference )

I'd give up mate :P

Except Move is useless without Move compatible games, so he wouldn't use it without one, and if he has one, it'll update his PS3. :P

Thanks for all your replies folks!!! I plan to buy the PS3 Move bundle for Thanksgiving. Also, Sports Champions 2 will be released by then, I hope.
