OP if you're not aware, you can use ANY usb device that works in client mode with 200MB storage, hard drive, usb pen, surely you got something around.

There is a quick swap FW tutorial in my sig, and you could have any number of OFW/MFW/CFW's on the internal HDD at any time. All you need is QA flag.

I tried with my old phone and memory stick. Unfrotunately when I tried to copy, the copy dialog frozen on 150MB or so. . I doubt it would ever copy. Then I formatted MS to same fat fs. And it happened again. Then I formatted it to ext3 (I think ps3 can read it), I put the file, no copy dialog, the file was there. I clicked unmount and device is not busy, great. But after that I've got "writing data to volume" and it goes like that for 5-10 minutes. I doubt it will ever copy.
I won't try with my new phone, I don't want to risk my phone filesystem. I think ps3 killed my usb stick once. Edit: f** yeah it's been copied. Hope it will work. |

If at all possible, you might want to copy the PUP back and verify it's MD5 before flashing. I'm sure it's fine but it sounds like there's an increased chance of some kind of corruption of the PUP during the copy from what you have said.
....Personally I'd just flash it but I like giving useless advice. |

Looks like it doesn't read ext3 fs.
@baargle I don't think I need it. One time I copied the pup, but before the copy dialog pop out, I disconnected the phone. I thought it was copied. PS3 was searchings for pups quite long time and it didn't found it. I think wtf, then I connect to pc to see there's only 120mb of file. I think it checks the pup before it's installed. I will try again with fat fs. Maybe it will copy after some time. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Took a while. Really slow ass ms card. Now that I'm sitting at 3.55 OFW, I can install Rogero 3.30, can't I? |

Yes you can install Rogero 4.30 V2.03 directly from XMB from OFW 3.55
Make sure it's Rogero 4.30 V2.03 and not an earlier version.

ftp into hdd0\ and create a folder "updater"
in that folder make some more folders, name them: 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 ftp ofw355,kmeaw/rogero3.7/rex3553/421.1,Rogero 4.30/999downgrade.pup each in a folder, u can name them whatever and then use it to fast update from XMB, keep in mind when using a spoofer it needs disabled(rebug toolbox) before updating, latest Rogero can also be installed from XMB so trow it in there and update/downgrade easy from internal hdd for this to work do as DEFAULTDNB posted...qaflag it-enable "System update debug" it is a little faster also..great feature to have and use
