Game Modding Questions - PS3Hax Network

Hello everyone, I am new to Ps3hax forums. I have a few questions about modding games on the ps3 before I attempt to do anything.

I would like to change the data on a few games: SSFIVAE, Dark Souls, UMvC3, etc. I don't know where to start for modding game data. Is there anything I can read to gather more infomation about this?

Things I want to do on those games is edit damage, physics, effect of particular moves, and more. I don't want to do anything fancy to the UI, stages, or the character's models.

Seeing the thread being about cheats. I feel this may not be the correct thing I am looking for. This will allow me to change very specific things for each character(for fighting games) such as frame data, changing the effect of a move hits the opponent, and other conditions? And for RPG games I can get really specific to change how weapons, armor, or magic works?
