Well, did you go from 3.55 OFW first then you are able to go to 4.21 CFW. If not then you should installed 3.55 ofw first before go to 4.21 cfw. Installing rebug 3.55.2 to 4.21 cfw is not a good idea.

Has the console ever been downgraded from a firmware higher than 3.55? If not ,then the syscon shouldn't have ever been hashed and therefore shouldnt need dehashed.

i dont remember if i reset the hash, or the syscon after downgrade... if i've been on OFW then i don't have to worry right??

The more i think about it and the more i think you're right lol, i don't have a hardware flasher yet but i do have another ps3 on cfw3.55, so it's no big worries.

I'l repost to tell how it went.

hmmm CFW 4.21 ....the early stages. ill stay with rebug 3.55.2 for now until you can downgrade to 3.55 without flasher.
but great news for those who do not use homebrew, ill wait a few weeks for now.
i got psn working on 3.55 so no haste here :-)

no the highest firmware its ever been on is 3.55, I had a red scrren once so i had to downgrade from 3.55 to 3.41 and then upgraded back to 3.55.2 Rebug and have been there since, I'm just really cautious seeing as I don't have a hardware flasher incase things went sour

well, i have CECHL04 downgraded from OFW 4.25 to Rogero and then Kmeaw and now on Rebug 3.55.2 update 0.7. I have this CFW 4.21 Rogero.PUP. do I need Syscon Dehashed?

Wonderful news!! This is the definition of being rewarded for loyalty with regards to those who stuck with 3.55 CFW from the beginning!

Now all we have to do is to try and make a) software downgrader for 4.21 OFW or b) more ideally, a 4.21 OFW > 4.21 CFW.

I have a CECHA01 PS3 on 3.60 sitting in a closet that I would LOVE to downgrade to 3.55 or install CFW on along with thousands of others in similar situations.
