I hope that there wont be any cheating online for PS3 games due to this new custom firmware developement. Yep, it seems that Pande Group have ended the support for the PS3 client of Folding At Home for some reason. It seems that Folding At Home is still be supported in general. The website is up and PC client can still be downloaded here: http://folding.stanford.edu/English/HomePage So anyone who wants to help can still do it No need for the PS3 to be able to help (doubtful that many only owns a PS3 and not a PC).

[QUOTE=hello345;457895]I'd rather say that the bottom line is that one guy ruins the experience for all the other players.
I hope that there wont be any cheating online for PS3 games due to this new custom firmware developement. QUOTE] Highly unrealistic. No offense I respect your opinions, however there are ways around this, such as logging onto a different lobby. As long as modders and devs exist in the world hacking and modding will never stop and I hope it never will. Many players actually enjoy playing in modded lobbies, and many lobbies ive been on have kept it fair by giving everyone the same abilities. And like I said everyone can do the same thing, they are usually just too inexperienced to do it (i do agree that playing with GOD MODE on for an entire match is a bit much) |

Then everyone knows the rules and what to expect when playing in those lobbies. This is a very good thing, i agree with you on this. What i talked about earlier is people who come into any lobby and then start to cheat in the game. It really ruins the experience for those who want to play without mods or cheats. I shouldn't have to join and quit many lobbies/games before i find one where there are no cheaters. I remember back when i tried Modern Warfare 2, i had to join a game, then quit because of cheaters, then join another game, then quit again because of cheaters. This was pretty annoying after a while. Luckily i was pretty much done with playing Modern Warfare 2 before all the cheating started, but if i played the game actively, this would have been really annoying. Maybe so annoying that i would have to stop playing the game even if i didn't want to. Playing in modded lobbies only, that is cool, but people shouldn't go into any random lobby and start to cheat. But yes, i think it is unrealistic that there will be a lot of cheating on PS3 games even with this new CFW 4.21. I don't think it will happen, i just hope that it wont be any problems

I agree that can become exhausting. Ive played a match when everyone got sick of the hacker and all switched over to the other team, so it was like 12 of us vs. the 1 hacker(cheater)..needless to say we all got our a$$e$ kicked. that was an annoying match..

It gets boring if one person cheats. But modded lobbies are fine i think, then people know that mods and/or cheats are possible, i have no problem with that =)
