I am on CFW3.55Kmeaw and wanting to go up to CFW4.21Rogero.

I have a Phat PS3 CECHL01

Questions:

-Is my PS3 Model Safe to accept 4.21CFW?
-How do I Dehash or backup my Nand?
-Do I lose any saved data (games, saves, etc)?
-Should I go to 3.55OFW first?

-Can I go back to 3.55Kmeaw from 4.21CFW without any hardware or flashers?

My answer to you is wait.

However, other people may tell you to flash and state how they did it but in the end the choice is yours.

I would personally wait a little longer.

I am in the same boot always needing to try something new...I flash my Galaxy Note daily. This was my process.

- started on Rogero 3.55 (v3.7)
- went into Multiman and open a file in the HEX Editor (highlight file, click circle and choice open in HEX Editor)
- Press Select then Start to dump LV1, LV2 and Rom (only rom is needed tho)
- After that was done I installed qa_flagging.pkg and followed this tutorial by Rogero to dehash and reset syscon (http://www.tortuga-cove.com/forums/v...p?f=127&t=3638)
-Then I put KMEAW on a flash drive and went into Recovery Menu and Installed Firmware, unfortunately I had NHL 10 in my drive and when the process was complete I was on firmware 2.76...oops
-So I popped out the disk and did the firmware update again to KMEAW and it worked fine.
-Next I loaded RogerO 4.21 on the USB and in recovery menu I installed it....stressed for about 7-8 minutes...prayed a bit and on reboot it was successful.

I dont have my model # handle...it is a FAT tho, not launch, with only 2 USB ports on the front.

He got a job designing games for android if he came back it would just be weird as well

From what I read nands are fine so I updated from the xmb on rebug 3.55.2 and I'm playing dishonored now it went very well
