Hi, i need some help. i am trying to recover from a brick.1st i turned off ps3 when ps3 didnt fully finish flash from lose clip. Now think i have recovered from that. I solder wire from gnd to tristate and i re flashed my console with the patched bin file. once it was done the blue lights alternated so i held the power button down and shut down. I checked the e3 text file which said that nor was ok. Then i desolder the wire, removed my e3 and reassembled my ps3 with b/r drive hard drive all back in place. Now my problem is what to do now? because when i turn on my ps3 i get a green light , no video and it looks like no h/d or usb activity as well. I am using the new method on a slim console if that helps. If you need any more info let me know.. cheers

yes the dump was fine and the patched bin flashed ok. i have just taken another dump and the only difference in hxd the is 1 number different. instead on the line 00000010 00 00 00 00 0F AC E0 FF 00 00 00 00 DE AD BE EF i now have B2 where EO is .

You do know you should be patching and flashing the byte reversed e3 style .bin?

Look at offset 200, it should say FI.I

Also, if you flash the patched dump, empty the sd card, make another dump, and compare with analysis tab, file compare.
If it does not pop up with a box saying the files are identical. Then the clip is not on correctly.

ok i will have to check that and get back to you. thats what i thought i did. if not now i have power to my ps3 again i can maybe try and flash it again.
i checked my patched file at offset 200 and it read IF.............. so that could be where i am going wrong. Thanks playerkp420

i now have IFI showing up at 200.
here are the steps i took
use original dump and open in flowrebuilder
select byte reverse my nor dump which gives me the swap bin.
i then opened that in nor auto patcher to get patched swap bin
so i put that on my sd and renamed and flashed to ps3.
that went fine but still no video etc
i took another dump and they matched but both have IFI at 200
where have i gone wrong?

u using your original dump with the auto patcher?? offtopic: make many backup of ur original dump and store it carefully..
