Simple answer is this: You have game that has >4GB file it must be on internal. Everything else can be placed on external. Last edited by wesyr; 10-26-2012 at 02:59 PM. |

Thanks for the response wesyr.
Another question i have is: Does the backup on my external need to be in a certain folder? In MM, I dont see the backup under the Games tab. I can see the file under video, etc tabs, but not under games. Do I need to make a GAMES or GAMEZ folder and put the backup in there? |

Updates are not being applied in MM
Guys, I need your advice. I'm sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere but when I tried to update some games via MM and apply them via Install package in XMB, I've been getting the error message that I already have the newest update installed. Is there anyway around this? I have 3.55 fixed games that I want to update so they will run in cfw 4.30. Thanks much!

Google "How to use Multiman with your NTSF Drive, you will find a tutorial from nextgenupdate. At least that is what I used. If you have any questions or need help, just ask. Get a 1 or 2TB External hardrive, Create a file on your PC with Notepad called USB.CFG and when saving the file instead of saving as .TXT, choose All Files in the drop down box. Follow the tutorial when you find it. After creating that file, via FTP, or usb flash drive formatted to FAT32, transfer that USB.CFG file to dev_hdd0>game>BLES80608>USRDIR> Put the USB.CFG file in there. Connect your drive to the PS3, open multiman, go to File Manager, Press START + Triangle click yes, give it a few, then your drive should be recognized as pvd_usbxxx, in my case xxx being 000. Double click on that folder with X, click X once on the game folder on your external drive which will highlight it. Then press circle, choose copy, navigate back to dev_hdd0 which is your internal PS3 drive. Once in there double click on the GAMES folder. If its not there, create it. I ripped a PS3 game internally using Multiman and it created it for me. Going in to that GAMES folder, press Circle, and Paste the game in to there. It'll take some time, if you get an error delete files, and try again. Once you have your game internally, you are ready to use Multiman to play it. Last edited by klown07; 11-10-2012 at 04:39 PM. |
