i've actually jumped into Rogero's 4.30 CFW, and so far the only thing thats bugging me is that sorting and grouping problem thats occurring in the XMB, other than that I got my PS3 backups working with their original eboots, homebrew apps working, got PSN and can finally download stuff from their, and I am as of right now fixing up my PSN games with the tools to resign homebrew. So far I like this CFW

I'd been just about to update to Rogero's CFW 4.30 when I read this thread and decided to stick with my Rebug 3.55.2 for a few more days .

I'm still on 3.55 due to the fact of a bit busy, and I also have a 360 which is a great machine, but we have all been waiting for the new cfw for a while. I'm very excited to get it on my machine. But i dis like that we have no peek and poke but hey 4.XX CFW *****ES. So now I wonder what we will now bicker about and which evil topic to spew hate at.

I would stick to 3.55 until everything dries up for 3.55.

There are clearly ways to sign any eboot/sprx/self for any FW, we just need it if we are to continue on the golden 3.55.

I understand that no one should fix what is not broken and the fear of updating, but do not understand this adaptation problem. Virtually all relevant homebrews are running on 4.x, and I never had any problems. Everything is less problematic playing games on my ps3 after updating to 4.x. I still have nightmares remembering of the hours I lost trying to make FFXIII-2 run without glitches on 3.55...

Not depending on eboots which donīt always work as they should is amazing. I can just update and play the games as they should be played. I am very grateful to groups like DUPLEX for what they did and continue to do for 3.55 users, but not having to spend time (and patience) messing with eboots is simply fantastic.

I currently see no benefit to be on 3.55. None at all ... maybe because I donīt have a Cobra dongle and dont need to use more specific tools. The homebrews I use (showtime, emulators, file manaager, ftp) run smoothly on 4.x.

I have no regrets, and for that reason cannot understand WHY people should stay on 3.55. It's just my opinion, I would like to hear arguments pro-3.55 to better understand this reluctance.

Sorry about the bad english.

"3.55 fo life".

Kmeaw Elite Club

@LoboGuara I'm not opposed to it, I just don't feel the need to rush.

My current set up works 100%, no need to resign anything, or un-fix-3.55-fixed eboots.

When that day comes that 3.55 is out of the loop, and that I need to be on 4.X cfw, I will go there.

I switched up from 3.41 to 3.55 a week or 2 after KMEAW came out

@DEFAULTDNB you don't need to unpatch 3.55 fixes, they simply work on 4.21
