So today I decided to make the first step for Rogeros new release.
So far so good and haven't experiences any bigger problems but just few small ones.

1. When I want to quit a game by pressing PS button and the menu list pops up and I see the DISC I'm playing but the thing is that the games icon is reversed and the name of the game I'm playing is shown as this -.

2. What's New, Playstation Home and some TV Channels app or whatever it called cannot be opened. By clicking them I get and error saying: This operation cannot be perfomed in demo mode. WTF?!?!?

3. Some new or old games wont even work. Games like Uncharted 3 or Silent Hill Donwpour. The one I've tested so far.
Errors are: Returns to XMB without error or it gives some error.

My PS3 is CECH-2503B and I went from Kmeaw to OFW and then to this.
Am I the only one experiencing this issue?

most likely you applied some eboot mods or custom pkgs uninstall those and remake a image file from your game.

I was advised to stay on the previous one 4.21 , which is awesome. Maybe it's possible for you to go back to 4.21 and wait , because as we all know , all good things to those who wait. .

I think that I should be able... using that same downgrade option like in 4.21.

I'm 4.30 Just remove all game updates and take the online updates. Make a few adjustment in MM and all my games, apps, psn, etc work great.

I went from OFW 3.55 FULLY formatted PS3 to 4.30. Why do u think I would have cracked updates, I reversed all back to original from my backups. The only games that wont work now are U3 and SHD plus those other things I mentioned (like demo mode bug).

I think its good, sure the demo mode thingy is a bit crap and the - @ the disc icon is weird.. but when im racing online with NFS i dont press the PS button anyway. :P

For the small bugs, i think they arent a real bugger and i am sure they will get fixed in time / soon. But who knows!

Playstation Home fix for Rogero Custom Firmware 4.30 by TechnoDon

install both EP9000-NPIA00005 and TrueBlueUpdate-2.7 pkgs

load multiman and ftp into your ps3 console to:

/dev_hdd0/game

delete the TRUEBLUE8 and replace it with the on in the download

quit multiman and reboot your console playstation home is now located where the useless trueblue update pkg was

enjoy.

I'm on Rogero 4.30. Same model, different region. cech-2501a datecode 0C.

I didn't notice the psn demo bug. Good to see there is a fix.

I have been able to get every game working, I have tried so far. I've tried a lot.

Using latest MM. In game settings have internal or external clicked, and bd mirror clicked.
And get the game updates from game settings, also.
Then launch from disc.

That has worked on every game I have tried. I did notice that sometimes a game wouldn't work when I had a usb flash drive plugged in, next to my external hdd.
So I just have the one drive plugged in and it works.

I like how you can just sign in to PSN, without using an app on your pc. Pretty cool.
