Nintendo Wii U being a next gen console can't...
Have an internal HDD of 250 GB, 320 GB, 500 GB or 1 TB? Seriously why?!
32 GB isn't enough, for me at least, I predict I'll fill the whole thing completely and then what, I have to have an external HDD connected to Wii U? -.- So much for being a next gen console. |

Probably due to pricing.

I see later models with bigger hard drives or upgrades. They could possibly be letting you use your own memory source as well like an external hard drive. We'll have to wait and see

They made a lot of stupid decisions with this console IMO.

A big percentage of the Wii U price is going to pay for the game pad. When the Wii was released it was almost $300, same as the Wii U. So you are actually getting more product for about the same price.
There are some people that do not purchase from the online shop, therefore no need for huge amounts of storage. You can use a thumb stick or usb hdd for extra storage, I picked up a 2TB western digital for $80. I think Nintendo did good by letting you install you own extra storage. Who doesn't have a half dozen external hard drives laying around? |

I have a 80gb bc phat PS3, and upgraded it to 320gb laptop hdd from a 2010 Sony Vaio, but I STILL have a 32gb SDHC card in the card reader slot, just because I can. Let me say this now, I am FAR from rich, or I wouldn't have a first gen PS3, but I got this system free, and it was actually YLOD, so I reflowed it in the oven, and then did this to it, to help it get rid of the heat...
![]() So yeah, I got it free from my brother who bought it for $699 in 2008, so I pretty much got the best, or if not one of the best, Phat PS3's, for free and upgraded it. Anyway, I can do with 32gb in that system, its not ideal, far from it, but yeah, I got 1tb in my gaming PC, so very little compared to what I normally have. Whatever, its temporary, people will crack it. I like the Wii U, but my PC pwns it, but I will get one in the future when they are dirt cheap.

32gb will hold data for plenty of games. if you are playing loads of games at the same time then you are not playing properly IMHO. better to dedicate your playing to a few games at a time at most in my experience. fully enjoy them before moving on. in my experience, the more you have, the less you play.
