Help Ps3 arcticsilver 5 temperature hight fan loud.

Hi there.
I have an CECHH04 ps3 and ive changed the thermal compund with arctic silver 5.

I know how to correctly apply the AS5 but i got one problem.

I turn on the Ps3 and the fan is low.after 5 min the fan goes to 2nd level and after another 5 the fan goes to 3rd and it stays that way.

MM temps are like cpu 79-81 rsx 62-64

If i start to play a game the ps3 fan goes imediatelly to level 4 and stays there even after i exit the game even after an hour still at level 4 wich is really loud BUT now

the temps in MM now start to decrease and after few minutes are like this
cpu 65 and rsx 50 - 52 but the level fan is not dropping.

So its clear for me that the fan is working but not how it suppose to work.

What i wonder..why the fans never gets quieter after the processor is cooled down and why the cpu is hotter than rsx by 20 C

Should i iremove IHS from CPU?couse i really dont wanna do it unless necessary.

Any help will be appreciated .thx.

Ok but what do you think is the problem?
The model of this Ps3 design is not so good?

Your ps3 is dropping fan speed after you exit a game?

Thx

If you know what your doing replace the thermal paste under the IHS on both CPU an GPU,if that doesnt work maybe the fan is faulty, try getting a 19 blade fan

PS:and remember than Artic Silver 5 needs 200 hours and several thermal cycles to achieve maximum particle to particle thermal conduction and for the heatsink to CPU interface to reach maximum conductivity

Yes i know about 200-300 hours cure of AS5 but that will give you 2-3 degrees below not cured paste wich is not enopugh.

I read on forums that some users have 50-60 C on CPU in idle time.

The fan is working correctly..no unusual noise or buzzing and i can hear it working smooth and clear.

I was thinking to replace the paste only under CPUs IHS couse my GPU is at lower temp (im ok with that value) but i ask anyone if it is a BIG difference / improvement so its worth the stress. Any opinion?

For the best heat transfer you should replace paste under IHS of CPU,your GPU is fine,i have tested many PS3's and the CPU heats up more than the GPU which is normal but not 20c difference like you said,so you should go ahead and do it,be extremely carefull removing the IHS dont force it,i used a razor blade to remove my PS3's cpu's IHS,you can see people doing it on youtube
