yes it can,but dont rush it,dont let the razor blade go too deep or you may cut the cpu chip lol,i sucessfully remove mine using this method,razor blades are very dangerous so if you want to skip it you can also use an X-Acto knife so you dont cut yourself,and you can choose the size of the blade so it doesnt go to deep to reach the cpu and damage it

I clearly see in pictures the size of the die cpu so i hope i dont get that razor to that point.
I must reglue the IHS with some kind of glue like Arctic Alumina? cant just stick it with AS5? Thx for all help. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* BTW..what were the final results? you know ..before and after replacing thermal paste under IHS on your PS3? |

.I turn PS3 on and all i got is 3 beeps and red light flashing after 5 seconds of green+blue light. It is possible that i moved the shield a little and that existing (poor) thermal paste contact under IHS is lost? I swear the shield not moved and its preety solid glued to the cpu. What should i do? |
