Good day,
First of all, as this is my first visit to this place, I'd like to briefly introduce myself. The nickname is R0075 aka Roots. I like to stay at home but I'm not really a hermit. I am handsome too, so if there's anyone interested, we might hang out sometime.

Well, jokes aside, and as I hope this is the right place to post what I'm willing to, I would like to ask a few questions about a modded PS3.
I'm pretty sure that this was asked earlier, but most results I have found were much earlier, so in order to make sure that things have changed or not, I'll ask again, and I apologise if that's the millionth time it's asked.

Here are the questions:

1- I have heard about the "You can't play online on a PS3, you might get banned from the PSN", is this 100% true ? And for instance, if I get banned, is there any trick to bypass that and get unbanned again ? If I'm not mistaken, the ban is via MAC address, so what about changing the MAC address itself ?

2- Will a modded PS3 play any game if it's not the original copy ? Or is there any possibility that newer games might require a newer hack ?

3- On the PSP, if you want to play on the PSN, you should update it, but there's a plugin to bypass that, what about the PS3, since all its online gaming relays on the Playstation Network ?

4- Connections are pretty crappy at my place, and capped by quotas, do games consume too much traffic ? Is a connection of 1.5mbps download and around half that upload enough ? Is a 200ms ping playable ? I'd care less about the ping, it jumps from time to time, but I'm able to get it at around 150ms sometimes which is quite good, I tested it.

That's all what I have to ask for now. I haven't bought any PS3 yet, so I don't really know about the available versions. Note that in my country, most places would sell the PS3 pre-hacked, so I don't have to worry about that.

As you see, most of my questions are related to online gaming, I just want to make sure I can play online with a hacked PS3.
