ps3 connection issues
Hi guys not sure I'm in the right place so apolagies in advance. Basically I bough a ps3 the phat one about 1 month ago, since day one I've had nothing but trouble with the online connection and gaming. First off if I turn my ps3 on all works well wifi light flashes lets me sign in and connect to a mw3 game. Then all of a sudden it will kick me offline and sign me out of psn. I've tried port forwarding, DMZ I've tried it on 2 diffident belkin boxes and a virgin super hub. No different. So to have to turn my ps3 off just to connect again ( sometimes after turning back on it says the access point can not be dettected) I have 2 ps3 in one room when both on the both disconnect at the same time.no matter what I do or try it keeps happening and its driving me insane trying to play online games is just hassle in my world. So if anyone knows what this problem could be then please help me. Thanks.

Try wired connection to rule out problems with wireless interference/crappy wireless performance of router.
Also, how is your PC connection doing, any drop outs there? |

to me it sounds like your router is setting a lease time for ur ps3, its on the DHCP settings on your router, try looking at that first

First thought : Router or signal, Reason : both PS3s disconnect at same time.
Second thought : Wrong configuration on either the PS3s or router, Reason : Does indeed connect but then gets kicked off. Third thought : Router power failure or reset, Reason : Disconnected, then after PS3 is restarted it stated that you cant connect to access point etc. For 1 try : Wired connection. For 2 try : Resetting router to manufacture settings, and setup new connection (automatic) on PS3, Or get closer to access point. For 3 try : Make sure the router didn't indeed power off/reset/etc when you get disconnected. Only things I thought up while reading your post.

it has to be your internet provider. If it is happening on 3 different routers the only thing left to blame is your net provider

i had the same issue when i was with orange a few years ago. My laptop wouldn't drop but ps3 would. They blamed a faulty router and sent a replacement which had same issues. I cancelled and went with bt and never had problem since.
