Background music mod for any ps3 game

This is a question to any high level devs.

Is it possible to add BGM functionality to any game ourselves. If so how would one go about doing so?

Thanx for any help and replies :-)

a low level spanner can answer that (me).

Not a chance except for swapping out audio tracks in the actual game itself, but that's kinda bonkers really, you won't be able to choose which track to play etc.

If the firmwares we're modded to the same level as on the PSP then you'd be able to use plugins like the music prx plugin which allows you to play your music within any game :D

Yes it s correct but in some case, even you trigger it (xmb music in game or ps vita remote play are easy to trigger/activate from param.sfo edit) some game might still not working with the utility (because of the eboot itself don t have)
For xmb music in game it s easy to see you trigger it well (message saying you can not lay this content will change for "play in a while")

You can use recent SFO editor for easily activate it (check for Adotools, probably have nice editor and at the same time you can add PSP or PS VITA remote play)

So...most of the old game and homebrew and music in game might not work or "in a while". And there are nothing to do in that case (well, nothing with common sense to do)

For activate it on PSN game, it s a bit more complex than edit your SFO and replace it because the way the param.sfo should be installed on PS3 HDD(the wiki page explain how to do)

Most of the time, it ll be fine if you try to edit for not too much old disc games (required FW 2.50) but some recent games might not work due to conflict with other utility (or change in FW: 4.1X games fixed to work on 3.55....:)

Guess just guna have to do it old school and blast the stereo ^_^

Some games like NFS:MW (2012) do support your own soundtrack by copying music to your PS3 and making a playlist, the playlist is usable in game

Shame more games dont support this.

MK9 was massively modded to achieve replaced sound files.
