[Tutorial] PS3 Demo unlock codes - PS3Hax Network

OK for those of you who have a Demo PS3 these codes allow you to have full control of the ps3 features, and removes all limitations that the demo f/w has.

To unlock your demo PS3 go to the XMB, then Security Settings. While highlighted, press L1+R1+Select+Square and it will ask you for a 4-digit code. Then enter the 4 digit code (shown below) and hey presto your PS3 will now be unlocked!

I have allready read the serials of two more firmware versions here. Why are they away just as the posts below the first post...?

They didn't work on mine. I am running v 2.35 on my PS3.

this is for demo ps3's that you would find at gamestop and best buy and stuff. This will not work on your console at home unless you ripped it from a store demo kiosk.

that will not be a demo kiosk ps3. No store sells demo kiosk ps3's. The only way you can get one is if you steal one from a store, buy it from someone who stole it from the store, or you are a store manager and you order one from sony. Other than that you do not have one and it is useless if you do cause it doesn't have any more features than a regular console.

What do you mis in a demo version on a retail , and can you back to retail

When you walk into the electronics section at walmart and you see a playable ps3 setup that is a demo unit. These machines are pretty much locked down so that people cant mess them up. With these codes on a demo PS3 that you cannot buy anywhere you can unlock the machine so that it functions like a retail machine. Or you can use these codes to unlock them at the stores for sh!t$ and giggles. It will not do much good unless you have one of these rare demo units.

Of is the code given by the installation or something(demo 2.35)
