Hi everyone, i think that now the time has come and that it is now safe for me to update to a newer custom firmware, and i have a few questions before attempting anything ....

First i need to say that i habe a CECH-2004A 120 GB Slim PS3 which is currently on Rebug 3.55.2 CFW

The console was newer downgraded, when i bought it, it was on 3.55 OFW

I want to ask you which CFW would you recomend me to install now, 4.30 rogero, 4.21 rebug or some other ?

I've read all the tutorials and i know how to install a CFW but i want to make sure first that everything is OK, and i am not sure if i need to go first to 3.55 OFW or can i upgrade from my rebug CFW directly to a higher CFW?

Another question is what will be with my games ? I mean, what will i need to do in order to play games in which i placed 3.55 fixes, will i need to refix them manualy again, every of my games or can i just update the game to it's official update and then it will work ?

For upgrading, I would recommend Rebug in rex mode:

For the latest Rogero:

They outline the upgrade/downgrade process well, just follow the outlined instructions.

Remove any 3.55 fix's you installed, and upgrade any game you have too the latest version (it is safe for know).

I'm sorry, but if you had read the tutorials you wouldn't have needed to ask some of those question. If you 'missed' that part I suggest you don't upgrade until you have read again otherwise you may brick.

I have installed it without any problems, PSN also working :D

Just tried Assassins Creed 3 (for which i applied earlied the 3.55 fix), i didn't remove the fix and tried to run the game and it works without getting first the original files :D And i installed the latest update too for it :D
