Linux Compatibility and Stuff
Ok so I hate to be that guy but I have been lurking for many months and I've actually got a headache...
Also I would like to say I know there is info here and everywhere but I'd just like to be clear on some things if anyone is willing to help (I know getting asked the same questions over and over is annoying, even reading them over and over the past months were ******* annoying) Anyway here goes 1. What is the best way to install linux after downgrading to 3.55 (yes after flashing) 1a. The best otherOS cfw on 3.55 2. What is the best distro to use; please note I'm not a programmer code is all gibberish to me so when it comes to installing plug and play would be best. (at least the easiest one) 2a. Would I be able to use a wireless keyboard on this. 3. I know you can't access the full power through linux but which runs the quickest ie. for a media center just playing music and series and browsing the net. On ps... 4. After all this installing linux the latest rebug  would be the best to keep my partition and linux still installed and play latest backups5. Please don't hate me I really do have a headache and all the threads for linux are old and lots of links dead and the most recent were giving me a headache... A detailed updated absolute noob guide somewhere would be nice but I don't expect everything... And as always with me any posts, replies and help are always appreciated. P.S I'm only planning on getting my ps3 flashed this weekend but I'm at work now and so utterly bored I thought I'd ask now... |

(step 1 should be replaced by 3.55 Rebug OtherOS++ CFW to avoid OtherOS++ will take up half of your HDD) Sadly ps3devwiki is down  As we still don't have RSX drivers for normal distro's everything that needs real graphical power won't run at full speed... Best distro to start with is Red Ribbon...

Ok cool thanks for your reply much appreciated I have looked over gitbrew wiki before.
It just seemed old and got me confused... What about the OtherOS that used 10 gb of the hdd or will that not work at all after upgrading to latest CFW? @OoZic Ignore this message I think I misunderstood except of course for the thank you...
