That totally makes sense to me. Check if files can be changed on Disk, if files change on physical disk then ban...... So smart..... Although I will admit that I have not read all the pages in this thread, someone could debunk this theory pretty easy.... Still sounds very plausible to me.

That wouldn't explain why it will still ban your account, when playing from original disc on CFW.

i just deleted those mysterious bg0 and bg1 files from my blops2 folder, made the folder read only and created a new psn acc... and i got banned after playing 1 match ^^ so this does not work, also why get the people with cfw and original disc banned?? this ist NOT the fix to play online, they check something other!!

If you all want to risk getting banned from the playstation network because you want to play a underated underdeveloped piece of poop then more fool you, your stoping yourself from being able to use new tools on there way that will mask you when you log in. Also your technically banning yourself from playing future better titles than BO2, Like Aliens colonial marines or deadspace 3.Dont think that you can just create another psn account and get away with it oh no my friends, Sony have your consoles id number every time you log in, they will ban your console, all your doing is costing yourselfs money cos alot of you will want to play online, and lets face it thats one of good features of the ps3 that you can just buy one, connect to the net and play strangers on the otherside of the world. Do what I did , buy another ps3 to play online and rent games before you decide to buy the disc. Ask yourself this question '' Do I really want to render my ps3 nearly useless '' whats your answer ?

o have been playing online. i like cod but this one is overrated . ps3 version anyways with the new patch you get error code 80010514 or something.
also playing zombies is almost impossible with out hard freezes and console restore.
can play multiplayer for like a match if that and hard freeze ., its not the ps3 every other game i tried works no problem . but blkops2 is crazy....bad

I think that there are some security scans when booting the game that are checking if you have any unofficial apps and modded patches on your PS3.

Some guy on NGU confirmed that he is able to play CoD9 with a new hard disk in it on his Ps3.
