MULTIMAN. {-EXTERNAL DRIVE ISSUES-}

Whats up again?

My PS3 loses connectivity with my external 2TB HDD while I'm copying g... files from a blue ray disk. Very annoying. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. I have Rogero 4.30 v2 and mmcm 04.14.01. I'M wondering if theres a solution. I'm not sure if its the external drives power supply, the fact that its 3.0, the fat32 file system on a large drive or something related to this new software. The drive is brand new fantom gforce it allows for both 2.0 and 3.0 cables to work. It could be.that its not making a reliable connection. I'm out of ideas. I just want this to be fixed so I can go back to ripping games without having a failed operation and going in mmos and copying every file individually. :{

Do you have any other devices connected to your PS3 USB aside from the Ext Hard Drive?

If yes, remove all those extra devices, the power on your PS3 USB may not be enough to power up all of those devices connected.

I upgraded from 04.14.00 Full. I have been having this problem since 04.04 and my new Fantom drive. Turns out it's the drive. I put my Game drive into a different older Fantom drive enclosure and I'm no longer having the problem. Thanks For your response though.

I don't have any devices plugged in. The problem was my brand new Fantom usb 3.0 G-force 2tb drive. I put my Game drive into a different older Fantom drive enclosure and I'm no longer having the problem. If others are not having this problem with there 3.0 fantom drives I am going to see if they will send me a new enclosure.
