So, i sent my ps3 to be modded, yesterday, and now, i won't be able to install the games fixes and the dlc's? games that i bought for real ... is there a way to retreive my dlc's and install game fixes without using the internet on the ps3? i'm new at this, so this questions might seem ridiculous to some of you, but i really don't know what to do now.
before i sent the ps3 to be modded i made a backup of the system, that has 54G size. does it include the DLC's and the games fixes? can i install this on a CFW without messing the CFW? Can it revert the system to OFW or worst (brick the console).

best regards

Just download them from PSN. Being scared of going in PSN is the same as being banned. If not, just check your backup to see if they are there. And as far as I know you don't need to be connected in PSN to download game patches.

There are millions of things that are illegal to do in this world, but nobody gives a **** until when your acts produce devastating results or profit. Sony says it's illegal to use a debug firmware or use thier devkits if you're not licensed but will they ban or sue you for doing so? No, because you're not doing anything amazing with their unauthorised products (graf choko for example). Thier warnings are just for legal court arguments / cause fear.

It doesn't matter if they could check your IDPS or not, what matters is why and how. The whole jailbreak thing happened years ago and groups of hackers have had access to PSN the whole time, and did any banning happen? No. Plus, this isn't the first time that Sony warned us.

You make it sound very simple. If it was simple as you said, Sony would have banned ALL of us since the beginning, but they didn't.

I think it's still illegal to sell a debug or test PS3 console to a non-licensed user or without sony's premission. That's why there's not many debug PS3s around. Sony only sell thier debug PS3s to game companies as well as devkits. But who cares? Sony won't ban you for using a debug PS3 or debug FW.

Actually, I was outdated and wrong. Sorry! A few months ago, I was trying to decrypt a game patch but failed, and so I was told by expierenced users that we couldn't decrypt because we didn't have the DRM or different NPDRM keys (I forgot which) for game patches.

Well, it seems we can decrypt a game patch now but how about re-signing and making it work on PSN? How is that I haven't seen online cheating yet? Apart from MW3 (I'm not sure if these MW3 hacks were part of game patches hacking). Correct me if I'm wrong.
